WATER POLO

Our Junior program focuses on developing players ages 8-15.  Our Splashball program is for true beginners at a young age (6-9 years) and is only available in the spring and summer seasons.

 

A strong swimming background is a key component to being successful in water polo.  Athletes should be able to swim 50 yards without stopping to rest. No water polo experience necessary.

Athletes will be divided up into ability groups so they get the proper attention and coaching for their current level. 

​

If you are new to water polo, please come out for a free trial at ANY practice to see if our sport is for you and which level fits you best.

​Our High School Teams are made up of players with varying levels of experience. We are dedicated to building our athletes into highly effective tournament level competitors. 

 

Rising Stars:

This is a newly created space for High School Athletes new to the sport of water polo.  This will give athletes the attention they need to properly prepare them for the upcoming High School Season.

 

Orlando Thunder is committed to growing the sport of water polo on all levels.  Rising Stars is the perfect fit for a High School athlete wanting to learn this great sport.

The Orlando Thunder Masters Water Polo program is a co-ed, multi-skill level group. Members’ ages range from 18 to 50+, while experience levels include high school, college, and college club to national and international levels as well. Participants must be 18+ and have a current USA Water Polo Membership.

 

Our primary goal is to provide more water polo opportunities for all people living in Lake and Orange County Florida.
